London fabulous - hotel total rubbish
- What did you like most?The location is superb - we walked to and from Victoria Station easily. There are little cafes in the surrounding streets which were cute and handy.
- Was there anything you didn't like?Well - where shall I start? It went awry right from the beginning - we had booked two rooms of differing standards due to availability. The receptionist seemed clueless as to which was really the superior which led to my husband and I sharing the tiniest of rooms in which it was impossible to - shower, open two suitcases, walk around - let alone drink tea. I am small but he is 6 foot 4, but even I found the beds ridiculously small - it was definitely not even a KING single - just a tiny single. Worse the mattresses were lumpy and going downhill - sleep became so difficult that my husband left the room at 2am on night 3 to complain and we ended up sleeping across 2 rooms. All too late to help my back which spasmed and spoiled the remainder of our London trip. After we complained to the manager she gave us a refund - of GBP100 - which, considering the considerable cost of these rabbit hutches barely made a dent in our discomfort. Oh and did I mention that it really wouldn't matter who was sleeping in the room above - they only need to drop a tissue and the thudding stops you from sleeping, if indeed you'd been able to sleep in the worst beds I have ever had the pleasure of paying for. I will NEVER return to the BOTThams hotel again.
Great short stay in London as I passed through on my way to Iceland and beyond.
